The snow is rapidly melting but there is still enough snow to throw at me so I am still not safe. So yesterday I misplaced my wallet and was nearly going to die because it has everything I need to survive, except my keys, gocard and cell phone. Still it was bad enough to go to a girl's night and lay down on the couch of my friend's apartment and complain about it incessantly for 10 minutes (then the fun gossip started!). She gave me a bottle of Andre and I calmed down (it only had enough for one cup but I drank it directly out of the bottle like all civilized people). My second most important reason that I was depressed (beside losing my passport, credit card, and driver's license) was because I had not gone to Tombs for 99 days and I thought I was going to fail because I had no ID (I was seriously comtemplating flirting my way past the bouncer and making some guy buy me a drink). However, I went there and they had my wallet so my plan to fail with every male at the Tombs was twarted before it began (I have a low success rate at getting free drinks from guys). Anyway my Tombs expedition continues. Keep tuned to more Tombs experiences!
The rest of this week was not as exciting because I suddenly realized that I had no job. I suddenly fell into despair because I am on the road to unemployment. I had always wanted to be a lawyer(until I realized that three years of case studies would be so boring!). It reminded when I quit cross-country in high school because I realized that I did not like running. I had always known all along that I did not like either but I always denied it to myself because I wanted to get into a good college (better to be an atlete in two sports than just basketball) or get a great job (I never really planned to work as a lawyer... even more years of case studies). I have come to the realization that I will also not work in the private sector. This is one to keep tuned to because unemplyment is no fun (but better than drugs or law school).
However, before my depressing part of the week happened my dad came to visit. He came on Monday night and wanted to see me. I wanted to go to Trivia night (I need Tombs 99 Days). So I went after Mass I went with a friend directly to Tombs Trivia Night where we missed the first round but finally got our own team name after extensive deliberation: "Number of Winter Olympics medals Puerto Rico has won in Vancouver" (just in case Puerto Rico has sent representatives to 6 Winter Olympics... Where do they snow in Puerto Rico?!?!?). We played the second round on our own and got a dissapointing 10 Winter Olympics medals in Vancouver (if I had it my way we would get curling gold... such an underrated sport!). Anyway maybe I will be the first Winter Olympics gold medalist after all the snow we got (I could try for Cross-country or biathlon... if sledding becomes a sport and it requires you to lose your cell phone then I so got it under my belt). My dad got there with his business partner and sat with us before the third round. Suddenly they mentioned that we won a pitcher of beer but my dad did not understand (only those versed in Tombs know about the intricasies of it) to get up so I nearly jumped over him in the booth. We got the pitcher of beer (which he drank entirely with his partner plus a mug they each got before and then after said pitcher... not even my friend "the former grand squire" can do that). Then we bombed the music round (we only answered one and got it wrong by one word). Puerto Rico's medal count at the Winter Olympics stayed at 10 medals because we were not in the top 3 at the end (do not worry I will triumph one day.... including in the Winter Olympics).
I also wore pajamas to my first class ever during my college career (actually they are two back to back classes with the same professor, Father Schall). I was staying in a friend's house and I was not going to dirty more clothes (which I would have to wash) but mostly it was a new crazy experience (yay craziness!). So I just put my normal clothes in a bag and stole my friend's shoes. Then I put on my nice Burberry coat (my friend loves this coat but one of them specifically wants to steal it) over my pink stripped pajama pants (I am so out of it but they were semi-sheer) and t-shirt and walked to class. I got there 20 minutes early so there was no excuse for being in my pajamas because I was so early. Father Schall sizes me up and asks:"What were you doing yesterday?" ... if only he knew!

Haha! I especially like the part about sledding/losing your cellphone becoming an Olympic sport!
